Goa Airport: The Entry Point to One of the Most Picturesque Locales around the World

Goa Airport is also known as Dabolim airport and it is located in the Dabolim village of Goa. It is rated among the busiest tourists’ airports in India and it serves for both domestic and international passengers. Tourists from all across the globe visit the beach paradise, and rejuvenate themselves under the Tuscan sun. This Airport is situated at a distance of 29 km from Capital Panaji on the coast near Vasco da Gama. Dabolim has two terminals:

Terminal 1- This serves domestic passengers and there are dozens of airlines operating from this terminal. Air India, Indigo, Jet airways, JetLite, GoAir and Kingfisher airlines fly regularly to the major Cities of India. It operates to destinations like Delhi, Mumbai, Jammu, Srinagar, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Indore, Kolkata, Nagpur and Pune.

Terminal 2- This terminal serves international passenger arriving Goa from all across the world. The international airlines operating form these terminals include Air Arabia, Condor, Qatar airways and Ukraine International airlines. It operates to international destinations like Noorjaha, Frankfurt, Doha Abu Dhabi and Kiev-Boryspill.

The seasonal charter that operates from this terminal 2 are Aeroflot, Air Italy Polska, Arkefly, Edelweiss Air, Monarch Airlines, Novair, Thomas Cook Airlines, Thomson Airways and Transaero. These seasonal charters operate to international destinations like Moscow-Sheremetyevo, Warsaw, Amsterdam, Zürich, London, Gatwick, Manchester, Gothenburg, Oslo-Gardermoen, Stockholm-Arlanda, Oscow-Domodedovo, St.Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.

The airport provides various facilities to the travelers that can be utilized when you are stuck during long flight delays. It has as Book Shop and a Handicrafts Emporium where travelers can purchase stuff. Duty Free Shop, Postal Services and International Money Exchange facilities are also available. For food lovers the Goa airport is well equipped with, Restaurant, snack bar, coffee and beverage stalls. It also provides prepaid Taxi Service, Free Baggage Trolleys and Wheel Chair.
