Google Launches Panda Update Version 2.2 to Bring an End to the Practice of Duplicate Websites



The latest update made by Google, “Panda Update 2.2” to their search engine has resulted into the falling of ranking system that has an adverse affect on search results of millions of websites all around the world. The latest update has targeted the content farms and websites that features duplicate pages. The speculation of this latest Panda update was made by webmasters and SEOs when they started witnessing a heavy traffic drops.

If we look back into the history of the Google it has been making advancement with a series of updates to their search engine ranking system since February this year. Firstly it was the Google Panda Update that was launched with the aim reducing the rankings of websites that has low quality. It resulted into some big damage to many unsuspecting online business owners, webmasters, and SEOs.

A second version of Panda was released in April for all English sites, which is now being called Panda 2.1. The most recent one is Google Panda update 2.2, which made its way so silently that it left webmaster and SEOs wonder for a long time. Some of the popular websites that has been affected by this Google Update Panda 2.2 are eHow and Wikihow as they always publish such contents that are already been published somewhere else.

Google has not yet revealed what exactly they are targeting at. Certain situations that have occurred after implementation of Google Panda Update 2.2 are that there are some websites where visitor have dropped considerably in number ranging from 20% to 50%. The reason is that now Google is giving more importance to quality, location than the strength of the keywords. It would show up better results of the sites.

The legitimate informative sites that people really want are the ones showing up in Google, and not the stolen and borrowed content sites. Thanks
