Indigo Soon To Commence a Flight from Dubai to New Delhi and Mumbai

After Air India, budget carrier IndiGo has made an announcement to commence a service between the air route of Dubai to New Delhi and Dubai to Mumbai. The service would be soon initiated in the month of September, 2011 between Dubai and New Delhi and a month later between Mumbai and Dubai.

Aditya Gosh, the Indigo President made a statement in the press conference, “This is our first foray in the Middle East. For a lot of people who travel from this part to India, every dirham counts. People work very hard here and should not be paying exorbitant prices for a three-hour leg.”

IndiGo is the fourth low-cost carrier to start an operation on the route of two countries. Other airlines are Air India Express that flies to Dubai. Air Arabia flies between the UAE and major states of Indian. Various low-cost airlines have been ordered to operate between Emirates and India. However there have been no announcement made by airline official regarding the operation of low cost carriers on the route of other cities in the UAE that including Ras al Khaimah.

On this occasion Aditya Gosh also talked about further expansions in the service of low cost airline, Indigo. By the end of the year it will soon start its operations to Trivandrum and Kochi and Kolkata. Other than that on international level the carrier will connect Muscat with the sub-continent from October.
